The splendid town of Lecco lies on the eastern shores of Lake Como, enjoying a unique position, surrounded by a fairytale landscape. The wide basin is dominated by mighty mountains, beloved by great poets and novelists as Alessandro Manzoni and Stendhal. Lecco is an ideal location for NAV 2015 meeting because it is one of the major centers for inland navigation in northern Italy and it is home to the "Lecco Innovation Hub", a marine research laboratory of the Technical University of Milan focused on Nautical Design. In addition, the town of Lecco is just 40 minutes by train from Milan, the city selected to host, in the same period of NAV 2015 conference, the great event of Expo Milano 2015: the first universal exposition in history to be remembered not only for its products but also for its contribution towards education on food and the precious resources of our planet.

The conference venue will be in the premises of the Campus of Lecco (Technical University of Milan), Via G. Previati 1/C, Lecco.
