Abstract

Every day we are witnessing practical references on the Environmental Sustainability of the products.

The Italian nautical sector, in virtue of the considerable quantity of processed material has oriented its interest toward the management of composite structure provided at the end of life, boat moulds and his processing wastage.

The main assumption is to reduce as much as possible the waste generated during the system’s1 manufacture, that becomes sustainable as a result of a aware project, in which converge formal and constructive aspects, unitarily oriented, that are:

? Aimed to reach the characteristic performances using smaller quantities of materials.

? Based on renewable materials and non-polluting production processes

? Employ non-toxic materials

? Allow the products manufacturing using homogeneous materials, easily separable into phase of maintenance, processing, disassembly, demolition, disposal and recycling

These new requirements necessarily entail, in the design phase, the introduction of new technologies for the environment protection, in order to the sustainability that goes from energy saving, to the "control of the cycle of reuse"

The issue of the re-use/recycling of waste of production thus becomes a design item, meaning that the project must be the place where there are certain afferent strategies.
