The Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering of the University of Calabria, in the framework of an International Collaboration with the IIHR ( USA), has undertaken the study of the hydrodynamic behavior of a fast catamaran by Unsteady RANS approach. The present work summarizes the results of the research activity that has been conducted during the last 3 years and that is still on-going, with the aim to validate URANS methods for multi hull vessels and also to investigate the hydrodynamic behavior of the selected geometry.
